从门前走过,可以从庭院里茂盛的花木间隙处看到日本山墙封顶檐板的老式宅邸的银灰色亮瓦,那后面西式住房的绯红色瓦片的屋顶也隐约显现,一派富庶雅士之家的幽雅外观。

那张脸冲着我嗤笑了一阵,随后拨开缎子帷幔钻了出来,帷幕从她的肩头滑落后又合成一体。光子穿一条齐膝的青灰色衣裙,一双不着袜子的石膏般嫩滑的光脚,拖着双粉色的拖鞋。浓密的黑发瀑布般垂挂在肩头,戴着油画上相同的手镯和项链。从紧紧裹在身上的衣服里面,我几乎可以看到她从胸部到腰间那柔软的肌肤和肉体在微微地颤动。

她牡丹花瓣红艳的嘴唇绽开的刹那间,我才意识到,原来墙上的油画就是光子的肖像画。“……打刚才起,我就一直在等你来呢。”说着,她直向我身边冲来,一股莫名甘美的香味袭来,撩动了我的心弦,眼前升腾起一片红色的雾霭,摇曳不定。“阿光,你是一个人吗?”

啪嚓一声,她打出除邪保平安的火花,像焰火那样飞溅,光子手上的蜡火柴点着了,接着,她把火苗移到中间的烛台上。西式蜡烛的光亮,朦胧柔和地照亮了整间屋子,各种器物和摆件的黑影,被大大地投射到墙壁上,如同魑魅魍魉一般飞扬跋扈。

从第二天起,我和仙吉一到光子跟前,就像小猫一样乖乖地跪倒在她的脚下。只要信一偶尔不听光子的,我俩制伏他,不是给他上绑就是一通狠揍,如此一来,那么傲慢的信一也随着日子的推移,成了姐姐的奴仆,即便在家里,他也如同在学校一样,变得唯唯诺诺,窝窝囊囊的。每当我们三人想出什么游戏的新点子洋洋得意时,只要一声令下:“趴下!”我们就立刻转身脸朝地面趴下。“扮作烟灰筒!”我们马上正襟危坐,张开嘴来。渐渐地,光子开始得寸进尺,完全把我们三个当作奴隶驱使,命我们为洗完澡的她剪指甲、抠鼻孔,甚至让我们喝尿,她始终让我们侍奉在身边,长久地做着这个王国的女王。

秘密

夜晚九时许,寺庙里的人大都睡下了。我打开方形威士忌酒痛饮,有了几分醉意后,我随意卸下走道边的防雨套窗,跨过墓地的矮树篱外出散步。为了不引人注目,我每天都换一套衣服,或潜入公园拥挤的人群中漫步,或到旧货店和旧书店去逛逛。我用手巾包住双颊,披上棉质短外褂,在磨得好看的脚趾上涂上红色的指甲油,拖上一双竹皮草屐。有时我也会戴上金边有色眼镜,竖起双重的衣领外出,贴上假胡子和假痣,变换各种各样的面相,颇觉有趣。有一天晚上,在三味线堀的一家旧衣店,我看到一件蓝底有大小雪珠花纹的女式和服夹衣,突然萌发了想穿上试试的

。那以后,只以为是太平洋上梦中之女的那个人,竟然在这种地方再见,简直是纯属意外。那时候稍感肥胖的女人,如今瘦了下来,身材苗条,长长的睫毛下水灵灵的大眼睛仿佛擦拭过似的,极其清澈,具有不把男子放在眼里的严肃威猛的权威。那生动的嘴唇似乎一碰就会流出鲜血一般。长长的发际几乎遮盖了耳朵,鼻梁高耸,看上去比过去更加挺直。

第二天晚上,下了场瓢泼大雨。我完全改变了穿着,在对襟大岛绸衣服上穿上用橡胶布抽紧的外套,暴雨噼噼啪啪地打在绢布雨伞上,我迎着水流外出。新堀的沟渠泛滥,弄得大街上水漫金山,我把布袜子脱下掖在怀里,水淋淋的光脚在成排民居灯光的照耀下,闪闪发亮。充沛的雨量从天倾泻而下的喧嚣声中,什么都被浇灭了。原本热闹非凡的广小路大街上,大都防雨套窗紧闭,两三个男人将衣服的后襟撩起掖进腰带,好似败兵在溃逃。除了电车劈开铁轨上的积水向前行驶之外,只有竖立的一根根电线杆子和广告的灯光,朦胧地照亮大雨迷蒙的天空。

说着,女人将身子倚靠在客厅中央的一只方形紫檀木桌子上,两条白皙的胳膊好似动物一般慵懒地耷拉在桌面上,身穿衣领有素雅条纹的衣裳,系着双面用和服腰带,梳着银杏叶发髻,呈现出与昨夜大不相同的情趣,我首先感到了惊讶。

美丽的晴空黑沉沉的,漫天的群星璀璨,一道白色雾霭般的银河,从天际的这头流向那头。狭窄的马路两侧商店林立,灯光照亮了热闹非凡的街道。不可思议的是,明明是相当繁华的街道,我却完全分辨不出这是哪儿。人力车在街上飞奔,不久,在一两百米街道尽头的正面,我看到了一块写有“精美堂”打字招牌的图章店。我想在车上远远地看看招牌边上写有路名和门牌号的小字,女人立刻察觉到了。“呀!”她再次蒙上了我的眼睛。

恶魔

佐伯从依靠酒醉睡了个通宵的痛苦梦境中醒来,眼见一片晨曦之光,兴奋之余,不由得想起身冲着太阳合掌致意

续恶魔

她身穿米泽琉球丝绸的睡衣,缠着窄腰带,妖艳地敞开着衣襟,光着脚,在电灯罩的阴影处慵懒地站立着,活像一名花魁

佐伯尽量将眼睛往上翻,眼球即将碰上了睫毛。他仰卧着端详着女人,从她的膝盖、腹部、胸脯直到衣领部位。再也没有哪个女人会像她那样,每天的脸色都会变化。今天因为室外的冷空气,她的脸颊和鼻子上带着红色,肌肤则像瓷器那样透着寒光,整张脸的感觉与平时完全两样。

这时,三人同时听到了从远处传来的啪嗒啪嗒蹑手蹑脚的走路声,那是穿着草屐或光着脚极为轻声轻脚走路的声音。啪嗒啪嗒,脚步声有一定的间隔,轻悠悠的,且一点一点朝家里靠近。过了一会儿,那声音听得很确切了,是穿着胶底布袜的车夫拉着美国人力车,咚咚咚地从门前奔跑而去。

神童

他把防雨套窗打开了一尺左右,让自己的脸暂时暴露在屋外的冷空气中。没有月亮的寒夜,空气清澈,万籁俱寂,凝视着闪闪发亮的北斗七星,心情自然而然地返回刚才阅读过的书中,恰似刚听完美妙的音乐,一种恍惚的快感依旧沉醉在对白式文章里,在自己的脑海里回旋,

最后仍然有一个人吸引了他的注意力,那就是距离老板吉兵卫三四尺远,宛如漂浮在这个空间里的一张白皙的面庞。春之助其实一进门就早早地注意到了,这个女人——理应就是素有绝代美人评价的夫人。他尽量不去看她,可是,眼角却不断有白灿灿的光芒射入,使他的意识须臾不能离开,而且,即便不去观看,也无法阻止他去感知。他的纯洁心灵虽然不会对她产生任何的兴趣,但那女子的脸蛋所拥有的鲜明的色彩,极其自然地影响到他的感官,使他怎么也无法忘记她的存在。随着这种感觉越来越强烈,他不由得腼腆起来,越发努力去避开那一视线。

春之助常受夫人差遣,去芳町一带的花街柳巷跑腿,常有机会接近那儿的艺伎和雏妓,与她们进行简短的交谈。相比自己丑陋的外表,他惊讶地发现这儿竟聚集了这么多容貌洁净、姿态妖娆的美人。在鲜为人知的小巷两旁,御神灯的微弱光线在摇曳,建有颇为雅致的、鸟笼一般的格子门房子,那些年轻的女人就在这样的氛围和情调中度过自己的朝朝暮暮。每当看到她们的明眸皓齿,春之助就会对自己野兽一般的外表自暴自弃。明明都是出生于这个世上的人,为啥自己与她们有这样的天壤之别?别说粉刺了,她们的肌肤上没有一点儿瑕疵,好似玻璃一般光滑。水漾柔软的丝织衣裳下是纤弱婀娜的手足,她们身上处处表现出肉体之“美”,把他带入了梦幻一般的世界,仿佛在朗读一首美丽的诗篇。她们的肉体就是一首活生生的诗,是有生命的宝玉。而春之助的形态又是怎样的呢?两者之间构成肉体的组织和成分是截然不同的。倘若说上天塑造女人用的是宇宙间的清澄的精气,那么制作自己的就是沉淀在地底的粪土。

要是傍晚的掌灯时分前往,就能看到她们并排坐在四五个镜台跟前化妆的样子。明媚的灯光照亮了刚刚出浴后的脊背,她们毫不吝惜地袒胸露乳。一旁的竹衣架上,挂着像要燃烧起来的友禅印花的长衬衣,好像有着自己的灵魂,显得那么妖艳。那绉绸柔婉的质地,过一会儿就会缠绕在那些女人冰清玉洁的肌肤上。一想到这些,春之助就会因美丽而浑身战栗。

异端者的悲哀

洁净轻柔的羽毛,宛如开始融化的春雪一般,时不时清爽、舒服地掠过他的睫毛。

恋母情

那儿兴许就是大海的中心吧,海潮从那儿向上翻卷,所以海面才显得向上膨胀。随着膨胀的海水向四处扩散,海水的反射光如同片片散落的鱼鳞在涟漪之中银光闪闪,它们簇拥推挤着,朝岸边的沙滩轻轻地靠过去。弄得不巧,它们在海岸边会被击得粉碎,然后再浅浅地漫上沙滩,依旧掺杂着月亮的银光。

不过,由于沙地很干净,她的脚和衣服下摆都没有遭到污染,啪嗒啪嗒,每次提起草屐迈步,都会露出那雪白的脚心,让人觉得去舔舐都愿意。虽然尚不清楚她究竟是人还是狐,但是皮肤千真万确是人的。月光从草笠上滑落下来,凉凉地照射在她的后颈部,在她略微前倾的脊背之间,脊背骨漂亮地隆起,清晰可见。脊背的两侧是纤柔的圆溜肩,与拖至地面的衣物一样显得非常苗条。双肩的宽度居然窄于草笠的边沿。她不时垂首俯视,那宛如濡湿的美丽的燕尾儿毛发和压住头发的草笠带之间,可以看到她耳朵内侧的肌肉,不过,只能看到耳朵的部分,再往前的脸部,由于草帽带子的遮挡,就全然不得而知了。我凝视着她柔弱婀娜、弱不禁风的背影,越看越觉得她不像是人,依旧怀疑她是狐狸变成的。我心想,虽然她的背影妩媚、柔弱,美不胜收,可是,当我接近她的时候,就会朝我露出女鬼一般的狰狞面目,让我大惊失色的吧……

富美子之足

。女子想进屋子,正坐在廊檐边用手巾擦净被污泥弄脏的双脚。她的上半身向左侧倾斜,几乎要倒地外斜的胴体只靠细细的胳膊支撑,从走廊垂下的左脚趾微微踩住地面,右脚弯曲成“く”字形,用右手擦着她的脚底心。年轻姑娘的姿势,足以证明从前的浮世绘画家对女性柔美的肢体变化具有何等敏锐的观察能力,并抱有多大的兴趣,画出令人惊叹的绝妙图画

此外,垂向地面的左脚,也并不是毫无意义地垂荡,她的脚底几乎与小腿垂直,大脚趾的尖端竖起,仿佛是一只鸟喙

,必须是具备与生俱来的柔韧而娇艳肢体的女性,没想到这样的表述用来形容富美子的纤细的手脚是
